Saudi Arabia SASO Postpones the Implementation Date of RoHS
Recently, The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) announced the postponement of the implementation date of the RoHS regulations. The RoHS regulation, which was previously announced to take effect on January 5, 2022, is now postponed to six months later and will be implemented in stages according to product categories.
The specific plan is as follows:

Information and telecommunication devices | December 31, 2022 |
Lighting equipment | March 31, 2023 |
Electrical and electronic tools and equipment | June 29, 2023 |
Games, entertainment and sports equipment | September 27, 2023 |
Monitoring and control equipment | December 26, 2023 |
