Zambia - ZICTA Issues New Type Approval Guidelines

On 9th of April 2021, Zambia’s RF regulator - the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has released the new Type Approval Guidelines repealing the 2015 Guidelines in their official website.
According to new guidelines, the Type Approval process in Zambia remains the same. However, now a ZICTA label shall be affixed on the electronic communications apparatus, the packaging and included in the user manual.
Furthermore, ZICTA puts forward the technical requirements of family approval in new guidelines, which indicates that family approval is now accepted by ZICTA.
