New Requirements for CCC Compulsory Certification Products
Since October 1, 2008, the compulsory product certification self-declaration conformity information reporting system has been officially launched. Starting this month, companies applying for compulsory certification (also known as CCC certification) for specific products can voluntarily use self-declaration to prove that their products continue to meet the requirements of compulsory certification, and through the system to complete product compliance information submission plus CCC logo.
According to the Announcement on Reform and Adjustment of Mandatory Product Certification Catalogue and Implementation Mode issued in June 2008 (Announcement No. 11 of the General Administration of Market Supervision, 2018), the category of CCC certification Catalogue Products has been reduced from 160 to 141; meanwhile, audio and video equipment, information technology equipment, low-voltage electrical appliances, low-power motors, and electric welding have also been carried out. Twenty products with stable quality and low safety risks in the fields of machinery, household and similar equipment, motor vehicles and safety accessories allow enterprises to use self-declared evaluation instead of third-party certification.
In addition, the Standing Committee of the State Council has recently deployed a number of challenges to China's development in the face of changes in the external environment, the State Council requires relevant units to further reduce administrative licensing and other matters. Clean up the existing licensing items comprehensively and revise and announce a new list of administrative licensing items by the end of March next year. All licenses outside the list are deemed to be in violation of regulations. The State Council requires that the annual inspection, annual inspection and exhaust emission "one test, one charge" be fully implemented by the end of the year, and that more than 10% of the products subject to compulsory certification be cancelled or implemented by self-declaration.
