Singapore IMDA Release Announcement

On 11th September 2018, Singapore Regulator, Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), published a notice stating that, as of 14th September 2018, equipment registrations for both new and renewal applications will no longer be accepted for Short Range Devices operating in the 698 – 806 MHz frequency range. Short Range Devices impacted by this regulatory change include wireless microphone devices.

For any already-Approved equipment operating in the 698 – 806 MHz frequency range, manufacturers must ensure that sales of such equipment cease from 1st January 2019. IMDA will continue to accept equipment registration applications for Short Range Devices operating in 470 – 698 MHz band.
