Australian 5G Spectrum Auction Limit

The Australian government has announced that it will compete for 5G spectrum auctions and require ACMA to set 60MHz and 80MHz allocation restrictions in urban areas and remote areas.

The government said such a restriction could prevent a company from taking a spectrum resource in the auction process and causing other competitors to fail to carry out 5G network services. "As a new generation of mobile services, 5G will bring faster mobile data experience and achieve millions of devices interconnection. 3.6GHz is internationally recognized as the key band for deploying 5G networks, "said Mitch Fifield, Minister of communications.
