Australia Launched 5G Spectrum Auction Consulting
The Australian Communications and media Bureau (ACMA) recently announced the details of the 3.6GHz spectrum auction to telecom operators, and the government agencies started the consultancy program at the same time until June 15th.
Nerida O'Loughlin, President of ACMA, said ACMA asked public opinions on issues such as licensing details, auction rules and technical frameworks for 3.6GHz band spectrum plates, and proposed 3.6GHz auctions or changes to existing users in the band.
It is reported that ACMA recommends that the 3.6GHz spectrum should be auctioned by simultaneous multiple rounds of auctions, with an application fee of 10 thousand Australian dollars.
