French SFR Hand in Hand With NOKIA to Complete 5G Call Test in 3.5GHz Band

According to foreign media reports, NOKIA and SFR, a French telecom operator, said they had successfully completed a 5G call test, which was completed on the 3.5GHz band using the 3GPP standard 5G NR system.

The two companies said the 5G test was conducted at NOKIA 5G test network and technology center in Paris, France.

The 5G call test uses NOKIA's 5G NR technology, including the NOKIA 5G-ready AirScale platform and Cloud RAN technology, as well as the terminal user testing equipment that meets 3GPP standards. NOKIA said the test used cloud infrastructure based on NOKIA AirFrame Datacenter solution to support Cloud RAN.

"SFR is developing a network evolution roadmap that takes into account the benefits and complexities of 5G deployment. Joint projects and experiments will enable us to meet future data requirements in the most effective way, while exploring new ways of delivering our media content to enhance the user experience. " Fran? OIS Vincent, the director of the SFR mobile network, says.

"NOKIA is pleased to support SFR in accelerating its 5G deployment and developing new business models that enhance user experience. By testing 5G now, we can help SFR prepare for the next generation of services while meeting the growing needs of users. Marc Rouanne, President of NOKIA mobile network, said.
