Mauritius ICTA Exempted Devices with BT &Wi-Fi Logo from Type Approval
On Nov. 24, 2017, Mauritius ICTA (Information and Communication Technologies Authority) issued an update regulation- The Telecommunication Directive 2 of 2017.
The updated regulation exempts certain BT and Wi-Fi products and PABX systems from ICTA mandatory type approval.
These newly exempted products are subject to market surveillance, and local dealers must hold compliance files (ETSI/EN standards) on record.
Licensed dealers shall only import and sell devices equipped with Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth® that bear the Wi-Fi CERTIFIEDTM trademark and/or Bluetooth® trademark as applicable.

This amendments shall be applicable for all imports that have been made after the coming into operation of this Directive.
