Global 5G Access to Standards and R & D Key Stage

Chen Zhaoxiong, vice minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), said at the 2017 International Conference on ICTs for the Future 5G that 2017 will be the official launch of 5G international standards and will push the global 5G into the key phase of standards and R & D.

Chen Zhaoxiong said that China fully participates in the global 5G international standard formulation and its core viewpoints are internationally recognized. It systematically pushed forward R & D experiments, organized R & D, joint R & D of key technologies, research and development of systems and chips, completed the wireless part of the second phase of technical solutions testing, Global Industry Ecology, signing multi-party cooperation memorandum with 5G industrial organizations of many countries, promoting exchange and cooperation of 5G test and integration application, and with the concerted efforts of all parties, a global consensus of 5G has been gradually formed and the commercial deployment has been accelerated.
