Australia to Promote 5G Spectrum Planning
ACMA, Australia's communications media authority, issued a consultation document last week that further promoted the release process of the 5G broadband millimeter wave spectrum.
ACMA President Richard Bean said Australia has always followed the pace of industry innovation and regularly reviewed the shortcomings of spectrum management. In the face of millimeter wave 5G technology, management should maintain its normal status. Early adoption of new technologies will bring sustained benefits to the Australian community."
At present, ACMA has consulted on some issues in millimeter wave broadband spectrum Advisory documents and other related issues, with emphasis on whether the 26GHz band (24.25-27.5GHz) spectrum can be used as a 5G broadband candidate band.
