Pakistan Will Start a Spectrum Auction in Two Districts

Pakistan Telecom regulatory authority (PTA) will be the end of this year in Kashmir (AJ&K) and Gilgit Pakistan (GB) 3G/4G spectrum auction area.

The official documents published in the auction auction last week, involving the 2100MHz band three 10MHz 1800MHz band spectrum and a 10MHz spectrum, the special communication organization in which a piece of 2100MHz band and 1800MHz band frequency spectrum has been designated for the provision of telecommunications services in AJ&K and GB regions (SCO). PTA said it will start the auction process as soon as possible after issuing policy documents. At the same time, PTA will hire local consulting firms to calculate the floor price and design the auction process.

It is reported that successful applicants need to pay at least 50% of the advance payments, the balance can be paid in five installments, with an additional 3% interest rates. The new licence is valid for 15 years.
