Australia Starts 3.6GHz Band Discussion Program
As the main band of 5G mobile broadband, Australia will 3575-3700MHz (3.6GHz band) of future planning on the agenda of the discussion. "According to the existing mobile broadband strategy, we will ensure that cities and regions in Australia are fully prepared for 5G technology applications," said ACMA chairman Richard Bean".
It is reported that the discussion paper for the 3.6GHz band put forward a series of feasible planning options, a detailed description of the ACMA as their preferred reasons and suggestions take various mitigation measures to reduce the spread effect of existing users by band. "As we have initially identified, the spectrum within the 3.6GHz band will be available in the future or for multipoint users and wireless service providers."
ACMA is now seeking public consultation on the 3.6GHz wave band, due August 4, 2017. In addition, ACMA also plans to hold the 3.6GHz band spectrum adjustment meeting in July 12th this year, and will be introduced by representatives of the industry and regulatory authorities.
