FCC Will Release Mid Frequency Spectrum As Commercial
Recently, John Thune, chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, visited FCC, where the two sides discussed how to use the mid frequency spectrum better for commercial operations.
Thune said that FCC is now open to low spectrum and high frequency spectrum, perhaps also should consider the open band spectrum, so as to go hand in hand with the 5G era. Thune said it was pleased that FCC was able to consider launching a new spectrum identification program and supporting its consideration of the mid frequency spectrum, including 3.7GHz-6GHz.
It is reported that, in order to ensure that the FCC in 2020 before the middle of the spectrum as commercial, Thune also introduced a bill called the MOBILE Now Act, and said that although the hope bill passed, but suggested that FCC without waiting for the bill and then start the program.
