Korea Implements Five Band CA And 4 x 4MIMO Technology

South Korea SK Telecom announced the day before, has achieved five band carrier aggregation (CA) and 4 x more than 4 input output (MIMO) technology.

It is reported that the five band CA technology takes advantage of the 800MHz spectrum of the SK telecom company, the 1.8GHz band of 20MHz, the 2.1GHz band of 10MHz, and the 10MHz and 20MHz carrier in the 2.6GHz band 10MHz, It supports data rates of up to 700Mbps, covering 53 cities in South Korea.

At the same time, SK Telecom also combines three / four band CA and 4 * 4MIMO technology to launch 900Mbps LTE-A Pro services in six cities, namely, Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Kwangju, Daejeon and Ulsan.

Currently, only Samsung Galaxy S8 firmware upgrades through wireless support these new services. Operators say they hope to have more intelligent mobile phones in the future. SK Telecom aims to achieve two businesses by the end of this year, covering 50% of the Korean population, and plans to start 1Gpbs LTE-A Pro services in the first half of next year.
