ITU Highlights the Importance of 5G
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) secretary general Zhao Houlin at a conference held recently on the Swiss science and technology said: "5G, IMT-2020" technology is developing rapidly, it will be through better health care, more intelligent and efficient city university system and enhance the manufacturing sector changes play a huge role in our life in. With the rapid development of the Internet of things, a series of innovative solutions will provide impetus for our modern economy, which are expected to evolve into reality."
"The early development stages of these 5G provide a tremendous opportunity to compare with past experience in building 3G and 4G/LTE systems," said Secretary Zhao Houlin. ITU will adopt a globally unified spectrum and standards to facilitate the development and implementation of 5G."
He suggested that governments and global communications ecosystems invest in 5G technology to ensure full connectivity of devices and to send large amounts of data over ultra fast broadband.
He said, 5G is free to increase the transmission of data, creating opportunities for cooperation and new applications, and provide real things (IoT) experience, family, office, public places and roads, all things are connected together, including senior product data sharing and transmitting data.
