ITU Agreed on Key 5G Performance Requirements
The IMT system working group has recently completed a periodic study of key performance requirements for IMT-2020's 5G technology.
It is reported that the working group by the important industry participants, industry forums, national and regional standards for the development of organizations, regulatory agencies, network operators, equipment manufacturers, academic and research institutions and Member States and other components. The meeting developed the ITU-R M.[IMT-2020.TECH REQ] new draft report is expected to be held in November 2017, the ITU-R Fifth Research Group will be the final approval of the next meeting.
"IMT-2020 will be the cornerstone of the global activities of future broadband communications and the Internet of things, enriching our lives in ways that people can't imagine." ITU Secretary General Houlin Zhao said so.
" The IMT-2020 standard will be the global communications network for the next few decades, and is now steadily ahead of 2020. The next step will be agreed on the detailed specification of IMT-2020, it will become the next generation of mobile broadband and Internet connectivity standards." ITU Radiocommunication bureau director Francois Langxi pointed out.
ITU said it can be expected to be based on the current development of IMT-2020 forecast to carry out a number of early 5G technology testing, market testing and deployment. These systems may not provide all the expected capabilities of IMT-2020, but the results of these initial activities can be summed up and help to develop the final IMT-2020 specification.
IMT can promote communication equipment to enhance the latest development trend of reality, holographic projection and wearable devices from the car networking and intelligent transportation system, it is also an important contributing factor to meet the social needs of mobile education, networking and communications and other fields of health emergency.
