Brazil ANATEL Opens Public Consultations To Update Wi-Fi 6GHz

The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) of Brazil has released a public consultation Nº29 on May 29, 2024. The main content of this consultation is about updating the current Act 14448 as follows:
 Access Points that are currently authorized to operate in the 5925 MHz to 7125 MHz are limited to operating in the 5925 to 6425 MHz range.
 Access Points must have automatic and remote firmware update functionality to adapt their operating channels to the frequency bands permitted for use in Brazil.
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions before August 6th, 2024.
