India WPC Publishes Notification Amending Regulations for 24 GHz Band

On August 14, 2024, the Indian Ministry of Communications, Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing (WPC) published notification G.S.R. 271(E), amending the "Use of Low Power and Very Low Power Short Range Radio Frequency Devices (Exemption from Licensing Requirement) Rules, 2018."

Key updates include the removal of Table-VIII and changes to Table-IX concerning the "24.00-24.25 GHz" band. Equipment Type Approvals (ETAs) issued prior to this amendment will remain valid for the lifetime of the models.
