Qatar to Phase Out 3G Services

The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) of Qatar has announced that it will phase out third-generation (3G) mobile services. All operators will terminate 3G services by December 31, 2025. Through this move, the CRA aims to optimize the use of the available frequency bands, ensure harmonized usage across the Gulf region, and ultimately enhance the experience of telecom consumers in Qatar by promoting the use of the latest Fourth Generation (4G) and Fifth Generation (5G) network technologies.
