India WPC Published New Memorandum Concerning ETA Approval

        On September 9, 2024, the WPC Wing of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in India issued a new Office Memorandum concerning the Equipment Type Approval (ETA) for license-exempt wireless equipment devices.

        The ETA will ensure compliance with India's RF regulations. ETA holders must also obtain any necessary documents, including a No Objection Certificate from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) of India before importing the equipment. It is a must for ETA holders to follow all regulations and requirements specified by the DGFT.
