Vietnam Proposes Draft Circular on Frequency Channel Regulations for Fixed Services in 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz Bands

On October 25, 2024, Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communications introduced a draft Circular to regulate frequency channel allocation in the 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz bands, designated for fixed services.

The draft defines the center frequency for the transmit/receive channel within a bandwidth range of 250 to 2000 MHz, following ITU standards, to support high-capacity, stable microwave communications. The public consultation period for this draft opens until December 25, 2024, allowing stakeholders to provide feedback on the proposed regulations.
