Mexico IFT Issues New Enforcement for IFT Marking

The Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFT) released two agreements modifying guidelines related to the IFT Marking and to product homologation for telecommunications and broadcasting equipment. The main points are as follows:

IFT Seal Usage Guidelines:

The guidelines will enter into force on July 1, 2025, mandating the use of the IFT Seal on approved telecommunications or broadcasting products.

Product Homologation Guidelines:

The guidelines require all homologated products to display physical or electronic (e-label) markings permanently fixed on the product or its packaging. For devices with screens, e-labels can be used, making physical labels optional.
