Qatar CRA Issued the Short-Range Devices Class License Version 5

On November 10, 2024, the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) in Qatar issued the fifth version of the Class License for Short Range Devices (SRDs), specifying the frequency ranges and corresponding output powers allowed for SRDs.

The key updates are as follows:

The use of UWB technology is allowed for installation in road and rail vehicles, with specified technical requirements.

The addition of the Wi-Fi 6E band (5925-6425 MHz) to the local area network (WAN/RLAN) section. Note: Wi-Fi 6E was announced in 2022 through other official documents, and this update aims to integrate the Wi-Fi 6E band into the Class License for Short Range Devices (SRDs).
