Kenya CA Opens Public Consultation on Minimum Technical Specifications for DVB-T2 Receivers

In November 2024, the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) opened a public consultation on the Proposed Updated Minimum Technical Specifications and Requirements for the Second Generation Terrestrial Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB-T2) Receivers.

Upon implementation of the proposed upgrade of receiver specifications, television viewers will benefit from new features enabled by recent technological advancements in digital terrestrial broadcasting.

Stakeholders, including members of the public, agencies dealing with media and broadcast issues, equipment vendors, licensees and incorporated bodies are invited to submit specific inputs and views to CA by January 15, 2025.
