Morocco ANRT Updates Type Approval Label and Adds SAR Requirement

On January 20, 2025, the Agence Nationale de Réglementation des Télecommunications (ANRT) of Morocco issued Decision ANRT/DG/n°16/24, outlining the technical specifications and administrative procedures for the approval of terminal and radio-electrical equipment.

Key provisions of the decision include:

1.New Labeling Requirement: Effective January 20, 2025, for all new and renewal applications, certified products must follow the new labeling format.

2.SAR Information Disclosure: From May 1, 2025, for any approved or authorized device with a transmission power greater than 20 mW and intended to be used at a maximum distance of 20 cm from the user, the specific absorption rate (SAR) information must be displayed as the main technical characteristic in a clear and legible manner on the device or in the accompanying documents (user instructions, user manuals, etc.) or on the packaging or in the electronic label content to be displayed.
