China MIIT Issued Radar Radio Regulation (Trial)

On February 14, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of the People's Republic of China issued a new regulation --- “Radar Radio Regulation (Trial)”.

This regulation formally outlines the allocation of radar radio frequencies, along with the technical requirements for the radio frequency usage of radar equipment. It stipulates that the frequency range for automotive radar is 76-79 GHz. The frequency range for short-range detection radar and radar used on unmanned aerial vehicles is 24-24.25 GHz.

The regulation shall come into effect from January 1, 2026.
