ACMA Finalized New Telecommunications Standards

On March 20, 2025, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) finalized new telecommunications standards and instruments, including the “Disability Standard 2025” and seven technical standards, such as the “Telecommunications (Voice Performance Requirements for Customer Equipment – AS/CA S004) Technical Standard 2025”. The “Telecommunications Labelling Notice (TLN) 2025” introduces updated labelling and record-keeping rules for customer equipment and cabling.

The new standards will take effect on March 30, 2025, while the “Telecommunications Labelling Notice (TLN) 2025” will come into force on March 31, 2025.
