Bermuda RA Issued Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Exemptions Memo

Recently, the Regulatory Authority (RA) of Bermuda issued BLUETOOTH & WI-FI EXEMPTIONS MEMO, announced that as of February 14, 2025, individual applications for the type approval of radio devices operating solely on Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi frequencies are no longer required. Nevertheless, manufacturers and importers remain responsible for ensuring that such devices fully comply with all applicable technical and regulatory standards established by the following governing bodies including markings/labels for lawful operation within Bermuda:

• the Federal Communications Commission of the United States of America (FCC)

• the Canadian Standards Association International (ISED)

• the United Kingdom/European Union (ETSI)
