New Zealand RSM Released Radio Standards Notice 2025

On September 1, 2025, Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) in New Zealand released an updated Radio Standards Notice---’’Radiocommunications Regulations (Radio Standards) Notice 2025’’.

This latest update introduces a range of changes designed to reflect current technologies and international best practices. Key highlights include:

· Revision of outdated standards to better align with today’s radio environment.

· Inclusion of new standards that support emerging technologies and applications.

· Coverage of previously unmandated products, ensuring a more comprehensive compliance framework.

These changes are designed to make compliance clearer for suppliers, improve spectrum efficiency, and encourage innovation all while protecting users from harmful interference.

This new Radio Standards Notice has been in effect since September 1, 2025.
