India Mandates Phase-VI of MTCTE

Following the MRT news dated March 7, 2025, the Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) Phase-VI officially came into effect on August 24, 2025.

As of today, September 19, 2025, there have been no further notifications from the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) granting any extensions or exemptions for the products listed under this phase, such as Cellular Customer Premises Equipment, Storage Area Network (SAN) Switch, and Network Security Management Equipment. Importers and distributors must ensure that all relevant equipment has a valid TEC certificate to be legally sold, distributed, or used in India.
