Papua New Guinea NICTA Launched Public Consultation on Draft Spectrum Outlook & Roadmap 2025 to 2030
On June 11, 2025, the National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) in Papua New Guinea released a consultation paper initiating a public consultation on the “DRAFT Spectrum Outlook & Roadmap 2025 to 2030”.
In the document, NICTA plans to allocate, clear and refarm radio frequency spectrum (e.g., for Wi-Fi 6E) during 2027-2028, and provides an evolving view of the IMT Spectrum Release Roadmap, as shown in the following table:
