Thailand Standard TIS 2537 on performance requirement for washing machines

Standard TIS 2537 has been approved, and coming into force on April 29, 2020.

In Announcement No. 5579, 2020 of 29 January 2020, the Thai Ministry of Industry announced the approval of standard TIS 2537-2562 on clothes washing machines for household use under the Industrial Standards Act.

Standard TIS 2537-2562 will replace TIS 1994-2013 on the measurement methods of household washing machine performance. The new standard set up the principal performance characteristics of household electric washing machines as well as spin extractors. It also defines the standard methods on how to measure these characteristics.

It does not target washing machines specifically designed for industrial use.
