Malaysia MCMC Cancel The Use Of 477 MHz Frequency Bands For Personal Radio Service Device

On December 3, 2022, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) issued a notice announced that the Class Assignment No.2 of 2022 issued under Section 169 of the Communications and Multimedia Act (CMA) 1998 for personal radio service device(s) operating in the 477.0125 MHz to 477.4875 MHz and 477.5250 MHz to 477.9875 MHz frequency bands will be canceled.
The notice will be effective on 1 January 2023. Usage of these personal radio service device(s) will no longer be permitted from the stated date onwards.
Therefore, the purchase and/or importation of any new personal radio service device(s) operating in the above mentioned frequency bands are not encouraged.
