Saudi Arabia CITC Open Public Consultation On The Roadmap For 5.9 GHz For Vehicle To Everything Communications

On October 9, 2022, the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) of Saudi Arabia opened a Public Consultation on the “Roadmap for 5.9 GHz for Vehicle to Everything Communications (V2X) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”.
CITC aims to enable Vehicle-To-Everything (V2X) communications in the Kingdom, and the consultation responses will support CITC in planning the 5.9 GHz band to support V2X applications. Furthermore, CITC is consulting on the regulatory aspects such as licensing procedures and eligibility requirements to access spectrum for V2X applications.
CITC invites all stakeholders including experts from car manufacturers and technology providers and national regulators and service providers to submit their consultation responses no later than October 31, 2022.
