India Inter Ministerial Committee Proposed the Following Year to Start a Spectrum Auction
According to reports, the India inter Ministerial Committee (IMG) proposed to postpone the spectrum auction to the next fiscal year.
Trai, a telecoms regulator in India, has previously issued advisory documents on the auction of 9 bands, but considering the financial pressures facing the telecoms industry, IMG believes the decision to start an auction this fiscal year is not sensible enough.
There is news that the group of experts have suggested that the payment period extended to 16 years, and the basic lending rate (PLR) to the marginal cost of the loan interest rate (MCLR) as the main means to alleviate the financial pressure, but not to reduce licensing fees and Spectrum Utilization Fee (SUC) any recommendations and other matters.
It is reported that the telecommunications industry in India debt has now reached 4 trillion and 500 billion rupees.
