Thailand NBTC Issue New Standard On Digital Broadcasting Radio Receiver

On October 31, 2024, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) in Thailand issued a new standard, “NBTC BS 3004-2567,” concerning Digital Broadcasting Radio Receivers.

This technical standard specifies the minimum required characteristics for Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) radio receivers. DAB receivers will need to obtain approval once the technical standard takes effect.

Effective Date of NBTC BS 3004-2567:

1.        For digital broadcasting radio receivers installed in new vehicle: October 31, 2025

2.        For other digital broadcasting radio receivers: February 28, 2025
