Vietnam Issued New SAR Regulation

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) in Vietnam has issued Circular No. 19/2024/TT-BTTTT, promulgating QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT (National Technical Regulation on Specific Absorption Rates for hand-held and body-worn wireless communication devices). QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT takes effect on February 15, 2025.

1.     Mandatory Dates:

Mobile phones: July 1, 2026

Other products (DECT cordless telephone equipment, laptops, tablets): July 1, 2027

2.     Testing Requirements:

Based on QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT, testing methods, procedures, and requirements must comply with IEC 62209-1528:2020.
