Malaysia MTSFB Opened Public Consultation on Two Draft technical Codes

On April 8, 2025, the Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB) invited the public to submit feedback and comments on the following draft Technical Codes (TCs)：

1.Short Range Device – Specification (Third Revision)

This Technical Code defines the technical requirements for Short Range Devices (SRDs) operating in the frequencies as defined in the relevant Standard Radio System Plans (SRSPs) and the latest Class Assignments issued by MCMC. It shall replace the MCMC MTSFB TC T007:2020, Specification for Short Range Devices (SRD) (Second Revision).

2.Communications Equipment – Baseline Requirements

This Technical Code defines the minimum technical requirements for all communications equipment including (but not limited to) user equipment, network facilities and radiocommunications equipment to be used in communications services which includes specifications related to Radio Frequency (RF), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), electrical safety, and Specific Absorption Rate (SAR).

All interested parties are invited to submit their comments and suggestions to MTSFB by May 7, 2025.
