Hong Kong OFCA Updated 6GHz frequency band to 5945-6425 MHz

In August 2025, the Office of Communications Authority (OFCA) in Hong Kong released HKCA 1081 Issue 2 – ‘Performance Specification for Radiocommunications Apparatus Operating in the 6GHz Band for Wireless Local Area Network’. The main changes in this new version of the specification are as follows:

1.Remove the electrical safety requirements.

2.The radiocommunications apparatus operating in the 6 GHz band for wireless local area network shall operate in all, or part thereof, the 5.945 – 6.425 GHz frequency band. The 5.925 – 5.945 GHz frequency band is reserved as a guard band.
