On May 22, 2025, the Agence de Régulation et de Contrôle des Télécommunications (ARCT) of Burundi officially published the new Type Approval Regulation on its website, in accordance with Decree No. 580/01, enacted on April 17, 2025. This regulation aims to standardize the type approval and management procedures for radio equipment and terminals connected to public networks, strengthening oversight to curb the importation of counterfeit devices and effectively safeguard end-user rights.

On May 16, 2025, the Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) of Mongolia announced the 5G Network had been officially launched on May 15, 2025, and issued relevant operating licenses to the local service providers.
